ColorOS aggressively kills background apps, which breaks WhatsApp calls. WhatsApp call and video call notifications don't show up on my Find N3
This is caused by ColorOS background restrictions and notification settings. I get an 'items can't be dropped here' error when sharing to WhatsApp on the Find N3
This drag-and-drop error usually happens in the folding/multi-window flow on ColorOS. Effects need the latest WhatsApp build and the in-app camera, not your gallery. I moved from iPhone to my Find N3 and my WhatsApp chats didn't transfer
WhatsApp's iOS-to-Android move must be done during the initial setup of the new phone, not afterward, and it uses a USB-C cable. On your new Find N3 install WhatsApp, verify your number, and when prompted choose Transfer chats from iPhone, then follow the on-screen Move to Android / cable steps with both phones connected. If you already finished setup without doing this, you have to reset WhatsApp and redo the setup to migrate, because an iCloud WhatsApp backup cannot be restored on Android. WhatsApp can't see all my photo albums when I try to attach images on the Find N3
This is a media permission scope issue on ColorOS 14/15. Go to Settings > Apps > App management > WhatsApp > Permissions > Photos and videos and choose Allow all instead of Select photos, so WhatsApp can read every album. Choose how to download
On your Oppo Find N3 you can get the official app two ways: from the Google Play Store — the easiest option, since it keeps WhatsApp updated automatically — or directly from the official website. You can download an APK file, by clicking a link “Download WhatsApp directly”.

Open WhatsApp
Launch WhatsApp from your home screen or app drawer and accept the Terms of Service to start setup.

Verify your phone number
Enter your phone number. If your Oppo Find N3 uses dual SIM, pick the line you want WhatsApp tied to, then enter the 6-digit code it sends by SMS — it usually fills in automatically.

Restore chats and finish setup
Restore your chat history from Google Drive (use the same Google account), add your name and photo, and tap Allow for notifications so messages and calls arrive reliably.
Stay safe: only ever install WhatsApp from the official Android source. The Download button above already points there — modified copies (GB/Plus/Aero WhatsApp) can get your number banned.
