Why don't I get WhatsApp notifications on my Oppo Find X7 Ultra until I open the app?
ColorOS aggressively closes background apps to save battery, which stops WhatsApp from receiving pushes. Go to Settings > Battery > tap WhatsApp and choose "Allow background activity" (and turn off "Allow app to enter sleep" / power-saving). Next open Settings > App management > Auto launch (Auto startup) and enable WhatsApp so it can wake itself. WhatsApp calls don't ring or pop up on my Find X7 Ultra. How do I fix it?
Incoming WhatsApp calls need the call notification channel plus permission to draw a full-screen alert. In Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Notifications, make sure the "Calls" channel is on and set to high priority. Then go to Settings > Apps > Special app access > Display over other apps and enable it for WhatsApp so the full-screen call UI can appear over the lock screen. I bought the China version of the Find X7 Ultra and Google services / WhatsApp won't work properly. What do I do?
The CN ColorOS ROM ships without Google Mobile Services and the Play Store, and WhatsApp's push notifications rely on Google Play Services, so they often arrive late or not at all. You'll need to manually install Google Play Services and the Play Store (sideload them), then install WhatsApp from the Play Store rather than a Chinese app store. Even after that, keep WhatsApp exempt from battery optimization in Settings > Battery, because the CN firmware is especially aggressive about closing background apps. Is the Find X7 Ultra usable outside China for WhatsApp and everyday apps?
Yes. If you have the global ColorOS build it includes the Play Store, so install WhatsApp normally and verify with your number. Choose how to download
On your Oppo Find X7 Ultra you can get the official app two ways: from the Google Play Store — the easiest option, since it keeps WhatsApp updated automatically — or directly from the official website. You can download an APK file, by clicking a link “Download WhatsApp directly”.

Open WhatsApp
Launch WhatsApp from your home screen or app drawer and accept the Terms of Service to start setup.

Verify your phone number
Enter your phone number. If your Oppo Find X7 Ultra uses dual SIM, pick the line you want WhatsApp tied to, then enter the 6-digit code it sends by SMS — it usually fills in automatically.

Restore chats and finish setup
Restore your chat history from Google Drive (use the same Google account), add your name and photo, and tap Allow for notifications so messages and calls arrive reliably.
