Why doesn't the LED notification light blink for WhatsApp messages on my LG G6?
The G6 has a small notification LED next to the front camera, but it only blinks if the feature is enabled and WhatsApp is allowed to use it. Go to Settings > Sounds & notifications > Notification LED and turn it on, then open Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Notifications and make sure the Messages category has its light/blink toggle enabled. If WhatsApp notifications still arrive (sound or banner) but the LED never fires, check that a battery saver or aggressive power-saving mode isn't suppressing the light while the screen is off. This is almost always Android cutting WhatsApp's background activity to save power. Go to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Battery and set it to not optimize (or add WhatsApp to the unrestricted list under Settings > Battery & power saving), and make sure Background data is allowed under Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Mobile data. Delayed delivery usually comes from the phone's deep sleep (Doze) or a DNS/network filter holding back Google's push service. First disable battery restrictions for WhatsApp under Settings > Apps > WhatsApp > Battery > set to not optimize, and turn off any aggressive Wi-Fi sleep policy. Choose how to download

Open WhatsApp
Launch WhatsApp from your home screen or app drawer and accept the Terms of Service to start setup.

Verify your phone number
Enter your phone number. If your LG G6 uses dual SIM, pick the line you want WhatsApp tied to, then enter the 6-digit code it sends by SMS — it usually fills in automatically.

Restore chats and finish setup
Restore your chat history from Google Drive (use the same Google account), add your name and photo, and tap Allow for notifications so messages and calls arrive reliably.
