Why are my WhatsApp messages and notifications delayed on the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G?
Tecno's HiOS aggressive battery management is the usual cause, since it freezes WhatsApp in the background. Go to Settings > Apps > App management > WhatsApp > Battery usage (or Power consumption) and set it to "No restrictions / Allow background activity." I'm not getting any WhatsApp notifications at all on my Camon 30 Pro 5G unless I open the app
First confirm notifications are on in Settings > Apps > App management > WhatsApp > Notifications, and that WhatsApp's own Settings > Notifications toggles are enabled. The bigger HiOS fix is to stop the system freezing the app: in Settings > Battery look for App freeze / Background freeze and remove WhatsApp from the frozen list, then enable Auto-launch (autostart) for WhatsApp under Settings > Apps.
