Latest known WhatsApp problems on Poco C75

1

WhatsApp photos not showing in my Poco C75 gallery — how do I fix it?

First, in WhatsApp go to Settings > Chats and turn on Media visibility so incoming media is saved to your gallery. Then go to Settings > Apps > Manage apps > WhatsApp > Permissions and make sure Photos and videos (Files and media) is allowed. If older photos still don't appear, the gallery may not have re-scanned the WhatsApp Images folder — restart the phone to force a media re-scan, and check that no .nomedia file is hiding that folder using the Files app. See how others solved this on Reddit
2

System suddenly takes up almost all the storage on my Poco C75 and I can't free space — what do I do?

On HyperOS the System figure can balloon from accumulated cache and leftover media. Open Settings > Storage and tap Clean up (or use the Security app > Cleanup) to clear cached junk. Then open WhatsApp > Settings > Storage and data > Manage storage to delete large forwarded videos and photos. If the System number is still inflated, reboot the phone — a restart recalculates storage and releases temporary system files. If it persists, back up and consider clearing app caches individually under Settings > Apps > Manage apps. See how others solved this on Reddit

My Poco C75 misreports storage usage and the numbers don't add up — is something wrong?

HyperOS can lag in recalculating storage, so cached and media files may be counted under both an app and the System category, making totals look inflated. Open Settings > Storage and run Clean up, then clear individual app caches via Settings > Apps > Manage apps > (app) > Clear data > Clear cache. A reboot usually forces the system to re-scan files and show an accurate figure. See how others solved this on Reddit

How do I transfer my old Redmi's WhatsApp and data to a new Poco C75?

Both phones run HyperOS, so use the built-in Mi Mover: on the new C75 go to Settings > Connection & sharing > Mi Mover (or search 'Mi Mover'), choose 'I'm a recipient', and scan the QR code shown on the old Redmi to copy apps, photos and contacts. For WhatsApp chats, first back them up on the old phone via WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Chat backup to Google Drive, then sign in with the same Google account on the C75 and restore the backup when setting up WhatsApp. See how others solved this on Reddit
5

I'm worried my Poco C75 might be a fake or non-genuine version — how can I verify it?

Dial *#06# to get the IMEI and check it matches the box and SIM tray, then verify it on Xiaomi's official IMEI authentication page. Open Settings > About phone to confirm the model reads as the C75 and the HyperOS/Android version looks official, and check Settings > About phone > System update — a genuine unit receives updates, whereas cloned phones often fail this or show mismatched specs. Is the Poco C75 a good, simple phone for an older user, and how do I make it easier to use?

The C75 is a reasonable budget pick for seniors thanks to its large screen and big battery, and HyperOS can be simplified for easier use. Enable a simplified, large-icon layout via Settings > Special features > Lite mode (the exact name may be Simple mode on some builds), increase readability under Settings > Display > Text size, and turn on helpful options in Settings > Additional settings > Accessibility such as larger touch targets and magnification. How to install WhatsApp on Poco C75 — video walkthrough

How to install WhatsApp on Poco C75

1

Choose how to download

On your Poco C75 you can get the official app two ways: from the Google Play Store — the easiest option, since it keeps WhatsApp updated automatically — or directly from the official website. You can download an APK file, by clicking a link “Download WhatsApp directly”.

2

Open WhatsApp

Launch WhatsApp from your home screen or app drawer and accept the Terms of Service to start setup.

3

Verify your phone number

Enter your phone number. If your Poco C75 uses dual SIM, pick the line you want WhatsApp tied to, then enter the 6-digit code it sends by SMS — it usually fills in automatically.

4

Restore chats and finish setup

Restore your chat history from Google Drive (use the same Google account), add your name and photo, and tap Allow for notifications so messages and calls arrive reliably.

Stay safe: only ever install WhatsApp from the official Android source. The Download button above already points there — modified copies (GB/Plus/Aero WhatsApp) can get your number banned.
