Latest known WhatsApp problems on Realme 13 Pro+

1

Why does WhatsApp keep crashing or freezing on my Realme 13 Pro+?

Crashes are usually caused by a corrupted app cache or an outdated WhatsApp version on Realme UI. Go to Settings > Apps > App management > WhatsApp > Storage usage and tap Clear cache (do not tap Clear data, as that wipes your chats), then update WhatsApp from the Play Store. If it still crashes, clear the cache of Google Play Services the same way and restart the phone. See how others solved this on Reddit
2

WhatsApp call notifications aren't showing on my Realme 13 Pro+ lock screen, how do I fix it?

Realme UI restricts which apps can show full-screen incoming-call alerts. Open Settings > Notification & status bar > Manage notifications > WhatsApp and turn on Allow notifications and Lock screen notifications, and enable the Calls notification category with Banners. Then go to Settings > Apps > App management > WhatsApp and turn on Allow auto-launch plus set background activity to Allow, so calls can wake the screen even when WhatsApp is closed. 3

My Realme 13 Pro+ delays or silences WhatsApp message notifications until I open the app, what's wrong?

This is Realme UI's aggressive battery optimization putting the app to sleep in the background. Go to Settings > Battery > App battery management, find WhatsApp, and turn off Sleep standby optimization while allowing background activity. Then enable Auto-launch for WhatsApp under Settings > Apps > App management > WhatsApp. Locking WhatsApp in the Recent apps screen (open recents, then tap the lock icon on the WhatsApp card) also stops the system from killing it. 4

Why is my Realme 13 Pro+ getting hot and draining battery fast after setup?

In the first day or two after setup, heating and rapid drain are usually caused by background indexing, cloud restore, and app updates all running at once, and this normally settles down. To check what is actually responsible, go to Settings > Battery > Battery usage and look at which app is consuming the most. You can ease it by turning off auto-download over mobile data in WhatsApp (Settings > Storage and data) and scheduling Google Drive chat backup instead of leaving it on daily, and let the device finish indexing new media before judging battery life. 5

Realme UI keeps closing WhatsApp and other apps in the background on my 13 Pro+, how do I stop it?

Realme UI's memory management is very aggressive by default and force-closes apps to save power. Go to Settings > Apps > App management > WhatsApp and turn on Allow auto-launch and set background activity to Allow, then go to Settings > Battery > App battery management and disable Sleep standby optimization for the apps you want to keep alive. Keeping an app pinned in the Recent apps list (tap the lock icon on its card) also helps the system treat it as protected. See how others solved this on Reddit

How to install WhatsApp on Realme 13 Pro+ — video walkthrough

How to install WhatsApp on Realme 13 Pro+

1

Choose how to download

On your Realme 13 Pro+ you can get the official app two ways: from the Google Play Store — the easiest option, since it keeps WhatsApp updated automatically — or directly from the official website. You can download an APK file, by clicking a link “Download WhatsApp directly”.

2

Open WhatsApp

Launch WhatsApp from your home screen or app drawer and accept the Terms of Service to start setup.

3

Verify your phone number

Enter your phone number. If your Realme 13 Pro+ uses dual SIM, pick the line you want WhatsApp tied to, then enter the 6-digit code it sends by SMS — it usually fills in automatically.

4

Restore chats and finish setup

Restore your chat history from Google Drive (use the same Google account), add your name and photo, and tap Allow for notifications so messages and calls arrive reliably.

Stay safe: only ever install WhatsApp from the official Android source. The Download button above already points there — modified copies (GB/Plus/Aero WhatsApp) can get your number banned.

Of course, contacts come from your phone address book. Save them with the country code and refresh the app to see them. Glad to help.
